Clipping in can feel a little awkward the first time. Once you know what you’re looking for, it becomes second nature.
Here’s how to get clipped in and out of your bike at RIDE.
01
POSITION YOUR PEDAL
Bring one pedal to a position where you can comfortably press down into it. Keep your hands on the handlebars for balance.
02
LINE UP YOUR CLEAT
Locate the cleat underneath your cycling shoe. Position the front of the cleat into the front of the pedal mechanism.
03
PRESS DOWN
Once the front of your cleat is hooked in, press down firmly through your heel until you hear or feel a click.
04
CHECK YOUR CONNECTION
Gently lift your foot to make sure your shoe is securely attached to the pedal. Repeat on the other side.
05
READY TO RIDE
Both feet should feel secure before you start pedalling. If you’re having trouble clipping in, just ask. Our team is always happy to help.
